The crew knew that we all had horse experience, but didn't know that I've been a juvenile riding instructor for 20 years - and I have to say, they were all wonderful. The horses all traveled calm, they seemed in good spirits and enjoyed themselves, and each was well matched to their rider. We passed through the picnic area, crossed a wooden bridge that had people fishing on it and the horses didn't even seem to notice, and then on to the beach. The ride was beautiful.a nice, shaded start enjoying birds and amazing scenery. They kept hands on all horses and riders until we let them know our equipment was comfortable and we were ready to handle the horse on our own. There was a sturdy, large mounting platform for easy mounting for all involved. She was able to give me some background on the horses that my family was using as we were tacking up, and everyone helped keep things moving. Our guide Emily, was helpful and efficient at accessing what horses to pair riders with, and getting equipment to fit properly. The horse area was clean and well kept, the horses were all watered and provided plenty of hay, and were just happy to be there - even with the bugs starting to come out for the day. When we arrived we were greeted and allowed to visit the horses waiting and resting, and shown a video for safety. They helped us get an idea of what to expect on temperature for that season, how busy they might be, and overall, helped me feel like I was just going over to another farm (I have a horse farm in KY) to visit and enjoy time with friends. We exchanged a lot of messages when working with this company to set up our horseback ride tour, and they were fantastic at answering all of my questions before we set things up.
